Jeppesen Marine is a provider of global navigational service designed to meet the needs of merchant marine vessels operating worldwide. Jeppesen Marine's primary goal is to provide navigators around the world with all nautical information necessary for safe navigation, and its strategy is based on co-operation with national Hydrographic Offices and the support of ECDIS and ECS manufacturers and end users.

Jeppesen Norway AS, previously C-MAP Norway AS, was established in Egersund in 1993 and has global responsibility within the concern for the development and distribution of digital nautical charts and nautical information to the professional end users in the fields of international shipping, offshore and fishing. Jeppesen Norway AS has 50 employees located in Fiskarvik Maritime Senter on Eigerøy.

Software Developers 

Job Type:                              Full-Time
Work Hours:                        Mon - Fri - 8:00am - 16:00pm

Essential Functions:
·          Develop data production and data distribution tools for digital chart production used in maritime
        navigation systems.
·          Contribute to design and architecture of future and existing products and infrastructure
·          Planning and coordination of work and projects

Background, Education & Experience:
·          Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience. Recent graduates with the right background will be
        considered. 
·          University degree in Computer Science and Information Systems or other computer related studies.

Technical Qualifications
·          Strong database and development skills
·          Platforms and technical environment: C++, C#, .Net, MS SQL, Oracle, Java, Windows, Linux +

Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
·          Ability to resolve tasks independently as well as working in teams
·          Competence in written and spoken English.
·          Experience in Software development processes.
·          Familiarity with the Rational Unified Process (RUP), or other software development metrologies
·          Problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis.
·          Strong interpersonal skills.
·          Ability to manage multiple tasks.
