The C-MAP Chart Catalog significantly simplifies the ordering process of ENCs. Firstly, because it allows the user to select only those charts that cover a specified route as opposed to the current structure. Previously customers had to buy complete predefined portfolios containing varying quantities of charts not needed for the vessel's operating area.

Another advantage is the fact that once the necessary charts have been selected it is possible to see the total cost of the order before placing it. To our knowledge there is no other chart catalog program currently available on the market with this ability.

A further advantage is the possibility to order Weather subscriptions (for chart overlay), with resolutions ranging from 300 km down to 10 km. Coverage may range from 3°x3° (small movable area) through 20°x20° (medium movable area), and 80°x80° (large movable area), up to global coverage according to individual needs and requirements. Most of these subscriptions are also priced, enabling the user to see the full cost of the service before ordering.

And lastly, it is incredibly easy to get a license. Instead of receiving a license for every chart separately, which is the current practice with many chart retailers, C-MAP's Chart Catalog allows the user to receive just one single password file containing all licenses for the complete portfolio of ENCs, thus significantly simplifying the installation procedure.
